CAKE STUDIO DSM

Chef-crafted custom cakes built on a rotating seasonal menu. Strawberries in June, rhubarb in April, honey chamomile when the season calls for something softer. Real ingredients at their peak, Swiss meringue buttercream from scratch, and botanical design that looks like it came straight from a garden. Made to order in Des Moines by a trained pastry chef who puts as much thought into how it tastes as how it looks.

Meet Chef Jackie

Hi, I'm Jackie Servellon - the chef behind both of these baking concepts.

Flavor, technique, and dedication to my craft have driven everything I do in the kitchen. From my time studying at the Iowa Culinary Institute through years in professional kitchens, including as Pastry Sous Chef at Oak Park Restaurant here in Des Moines, understanding the why behind every process has been what pushes me and what shapes everything I make and teach.

That drive is what Baked Studios DSM is built on. I love teaching and I am genuinely good at making complex concepts feel accessible and human. Watching someone walk out of a class with real understanding — not just a finished product but actual knowledge they can use — is something that never gets old for me.

With Cake Studio DSM, cake design and craft flavor pairings come from a completely different part of my brain. It is intuitive, personal, and deeply connected to the seasons and whoever I am working with. Every cake I design is different because every person and every moment is different.
